It is with great sadness that we learned today from Dr. Youli Sun of the untimely and tragic loss of Shawn Wang.

He represented to us the very best sort of individual we have been so fortunate to have as part of American University, first as a student in our Kogod School of Business, and then as a prominent business person in China who so generously gave of his time and experience to our students and to our study abroad program in Beijing. We will always feel grateful and privileged to have known him and to have been able to benefit from his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences and our very best wishes to all Shawn's family and friends at this very difficult time. He will be remembered.
